Hi,

I really like your blog. The color schemes are very nice as well, it's very easy to read.

I am one of the Editors for the crafting and DIY website FaveCrafts.com and our blog FaveCraftsBlog.com. We offer hundreds of free craft projects, tutorials, home décor ideas and more in every area of crafting.
I came across your blog and enjoyed what I saw. With that said, I would like to invite you to contribute a craft project, tutorial or tip to FaveCrafts or a Guest Blog on FaveCraftsBlog. All the details of your authorship are preserved and you can include a link back to your blog or Etsy shop as a traffic bonus for you. We love to feature fresh voices on our website constantly and nurture such a vibrant, creative community of crafters.

In addition to publishing Guest Features at our website (with over 1 million page views every day) and blog, we promote these items in our bi-weekly newsletter, which currently has over 200,000 email subscribers.

Right now, we are especially interested in sewing craft projects particularly clothes.

If you are not interested in contributing to our website or blog, we hope you will consider a reciprocal link with FaveCrafts.com. We wish to develop a quality network of crafters and crafting writers for all our readers.

Thank you for your consideration,

Hi Lori, I read you serger comments on PR and wanted to double check that is was the hobbylock 796 that you had and check if your still happy with it. I have a 784..real basic.. but am wanting to esp. do flatlock stitching. I'm also trying to decide if it's worth it to invest in something to do coverstitch. Let me know your opinion if you get a spare moment. Thanks alot.

Lori,
I've been reading your blog for a while and find it interesting and entertaining. I am intrigued by your efforts to learn to crochet. Years ago, in the 1970's I was a crochet addict, making slippers, afghans, ponchos, purses and some clothing. In 1974, I made a beautiful jacket of Grannie Squares out of an ombre yarn in colors of brown, cream and coral. Instead of buttons, I hand stitched a separating zipper to the front opening. The jacket was stylish and beautiful and I received many compliments. I have no idea what happened to that jacket, but I wish I still had it as it would still be in style. I applaud your efforts to learn. I still have the booklet from which that pattern was taken. It is called "Crochet with Squares" copywright 1974. I've scanned and copied the directions for that jacket, and 2 other variations (just color really), and the assembly chart. If you email me, I will send you a zipped file with the jacket directions and also directions for a shrink. The booklet also has directions for Granny Square hats which I can also send you if you need them. It also has a Granny Square sleeping bag!!!!
