Just Sew It

Favorite photos so far…

Here are a couple of photos from my mom’s side of the family. The first one is of my mom when she was a little girl. I’d say she is about two or three. Wasn’t she so cute?!

This next photo is of my Great Aunt and Great Uncle. I love this photo because of their pose and her dress. I love that era.

I’ll be posting some recent layouts I complete for the heritage scrapbooks I am making.

Banff, Alberta

After Christmas, we went to Banff for a few days which is located in the Rocky Mountains. Banff is a very busy tourist town for many many travelers from all over the world. More often than not the locals who work in shops and tourist attractions are from other countries. Many of them come from Australia, New Zealand, and England. Why those countries I don’t know but they are attracted to the mountains. So they should. The Rocky Mountains are a must see. If you have not seen them, you must make the trip. I’ve lived in Alberta all my life so I have traveled to the mountains many times throughout my life. My parents took us to the Upper Banff Hot Springs from the time I was two years old and we camped a lot growing up. You have to camp in the mountains. It’s fantastic. There is nothing I mean nothing like the Rocky Mountains. I am trying to convince my husband to relocating us to Canmore which is only a few kilometers from Banff. It’s only an hour away from Calgary so we can drive on in for some shopping from time to time. I love the mountains. There is something so peaceful about being in between so much rock.

Most of the photos were taken on top of a mountain after traveling on a gondola to get there. The kids LOVED it:
