Next Project
I have been missing my dear sewing machine and have been thinking about my next project. Today my husband mentioned that his cousin will be getting married in October. A cooler month but not winter. I went online shopping for a pattern and decided to make this dress Vogue 8180. I’ll making the view with the sleeves. I like the simple but fitted design of this dress. I also like the way the skirt if pleated. Nice.
I made this dress in hand woven Indian Sillk. The dresss is gorgeous! but not because of the pattern.
The back princess seam has major problems. I had to redraft the bodice back. While I was a it, I squared off the neckline in front and made straight elbow length sleeves.
