Knit or Crochet? Crochet or Knit?
It’s hip to knit these days and I thought about knitting but have always preferred patterns that were crocheted. I picked up “Stitch N’ Bitch” and The Happy Hooker both by Debbie Stroller from the library. I poured over all the projects in both books and decided that I would give Crocheting a go again. By again I mean I’ve tried it a number of years ago but never really kept going.

What about my passion for sewing. Still there. Unless my arms were chopped off I could never give up sewing. I just love it too much. But variety is the spice of life… right? I’d like to see if I could make a baby blanket. I received a crocheted baby blanket for my daughter and I loved it. I still have it and will not give it up. You just cannot buy these in regular stores.
I went hunting for crochet blogs and found these two sites. One is a blog and one is a forum for crocheters.

In Stitches
I’ve done both crochet and knitting and on the whole, and while both are fun, I’ve ended up doing more crochet and knitting.
I think the reason is that I find crochet just a bit easier to do, both in terms of difficulty and speed.
The downside to both for me is that is I find the tasks very repetitive, so it takes a long time (months or years) for me to finish just about anything.
