TIP: Thread Storage for Dry climates
I recently picked this tip up from a sampler machine quilting class.
If you live in a very dry climate, it is very wise to store your thread in plastic containers. The dry air deteriorates cotton thread. Thread racks are not advisable storage for Albertans.
I did not know that.

In Stitches
I did not know that one either but it makes sense.

I store all my threads in one of those plastic drawer stacks you can buy at office supply stores. Not sure if that is enough to keep them from dryng out but it definitely keeps them from fading or getting dusty.
