I like your choices, and I think your quilt is likely to be very rich and vivid, in a word, beautiful! I'm totally addicted to quilt shop fabrics. They feel so much softer to me than what I can get at Joanne's or other fabric places, and too, I love the patterns. I don't know if that's more of a mental block or a real observation, but either way, I always spend too much on fabric. And coming up soon is the Houston Quilt Festival, where I can rationalize buying anything since "who knows if that vendor will be back next year?" The darkest quilt I've ever made was black, white and red - and that had so much contrast going on it still looked bright! I love the fabrics you picked out - especially the swirlly one.
