Jean Jacket: Part One
Okay, I finally got to actually doing some sewing time on my jean jacket. Today, I cut out my interfacing and marked my pattern pieces. I like to use the tracing wheel to mark but there are many other ways to mark.
In the photo below, you will see that I have made a separate facing which was cut out in a green corduroy. To do this I traced the original front piece by tracing the extension to be folded separately. Am I confusing you?? I added a seam allowance on each piece because I would be sewing the front to the extension piece. After stitching, I pressed my seams.
I carefully trimmed the seams close to the stitching to prevent any bulk. I then stitched the back pieces together.
Next will be the construction of the front.
Hmmm… I think I’m confusing myself…
On another note….. like my grass? No Weeds!!!! In finally beat those suckers. Last fall we ripped out a large spruce tree that was sucking all the moisture out of our lawn. Moisture that was imperative for a lush and beautiful lawn.
Yes… I’m one of those people that is obsessed with a nice looking lawn. I pick weeds like some people pick zits.
