Black is Back

What does a picture of a goat’s eye have anything to do with the color black you say? Nothing. I’ll get to the topic of black in a minute.
Today I took my kids to a Corn Maze and they had some goats and pot belly pigs. Creepy looking eye. Ever since I watched an episode of Fear Factor where contestants ate a sheep’s eye, I have a hard time looking these guys in the eye. They are cute though. I love animals of any sort.
Now for the color black. Color seems to be making a come back this fall and I plan on purchasing and sewing a few pieces. I love to wear blackin the winter especially when I go out on a night on the town. Black must be worn properly IMHO or else one can look trashy. I find t-shirts with slogans and cheap knits can make one look very trailer trashy. If black clothing is chosen carefully and fits well, one can look very classy. Tonight I found a sweater that buttons up with just one or two buttons in the front but is smartly fitted in the back. I love it. I found another semi-casual sweater which has a slight gather at the neckline. I plan on wearing it at home. I work at home and although I like to look somewhat professional I don’t like to wear my good clothes while working. I operate a dayhome. Children and good clothing do not go well together.
I finished cutting my jean jacket out. A lot of pieces. The plan this weekend is to get a start on the construction. I am going to do whatever it takes to make this happen.
On another note, Project Runway 3 is starting on Life Network on September 4. Canada is always behind the eight ball!

In Stitches
Goats DO have creepy eyes. I had my cheek broke by a goat once and the thing that sticks with me is the way his eye looked at me before he jumped.
