Just Sew It

Where’s my Timtex!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ordered some seriously heavy interfacing from a company out of B.C. It’s not here yet. That was about 10 days ago. B.C. is not that friggin far. I want to get started on my Madison Uptown bag. Tomorrow night I want to finish my capri’s. Saturday night I’m going to a crop night to some Scrapbooking. Scrapbooking is fun but I love sewing way way more. Sewing is much more challenging. Scrapbooking is a nice way to preserve precious photos. I should have been a photographer because I enjoy taking photos. My dh is a professional photographer and had his own business. He quit because he did not like working weekends only. I have learned a lot from his photography. Taking pics of the kidlets is extremely important to me and ……. I’m……. tired……. and……… I have lost…. my ……. train of thought. Good night zzzzzzzzzzzzz.

1/4″ presser foot for IDT

Below is a pic of a new foot I bought with a gift certificate I had. It’s a 1/4″ quilting foot with a guide. It’s new from Pfaff and since I’m planning on making a couple of quilts in the fall I picked one up.

Not bad shot huh?

Back to Normal

Well, my ds is feeling better and my life is back to normal so I can get back to my world of sewing. Yesterday I worked on my capri’s and I made a dumbass move. I sewed one of the yokes to a leg bottom. Yeah, I know… how did I do that. Watching Survivor and not paying attention. So I did fix it but I still need to do some adjusting on the fit. Next I will be sewing in an invisible zipper and I will post pics on the process. I’d like to get this finished as I am anxious to start on my Amy Butler Madison bag. I’ll post step by step instructions and pics on that too.

My goal for this site is to attract beginner sewers. It bothers me that there are so many people that DO NOT sew. My dealer once told me that I am considered a “young” sewer. If I can help get some people interested in the art, then I’m doing my part in keeping the sewing world alive.
